Blogmas 2020 {Day 14/ Holiday Blues}

Hi Guys!

Welcome back to another day of Blogmas!

Today i’m talking about holiday blues and some things i do to cope with the holiday blues.

Let’s face it, the holidays can be tough… being without family, the stress of shopping, bad weather, etc…

I know for me, being without my family and having to do all the things (shopping, baking, wrapping, etc.), i start having not much Christmas spirit.

Here is how i try to feel not so down…

  1. I keep in contact with my family – Even though we can’t be together, i can still call them up or text them. Joking around with my family can take away a down/sad day for me.
  2. I don’t do everything at once – Shopping for gifts, wrapping gifts, etc. i spread it out in chunks, so it’s not as overwhelming.
  3. I take ‘me time’ during the holidays – long baths, crocheting, etc. Just spending a few extra minutes here and there doing something that makes me happy helps lift my spirits during the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
  4. I do online shopping when possible – Stores stress me out even more, so doing a lot of my shopping online takes away a lot of holiday stress for me.

That’s how i handle the holiday blues. I’d love to hear your tips/tricks on how to beat the holiday blues!
