Christmas Crafts {Blogmas Day 16}

Hi Guys!

I shared some fun Christmas crafts a few years ago, but they are still pretty awesome crafts that i thought they were worth sharing again today…

Beaded Snowflakes

Supplies needed:

Pipe stems

Pony Beads

Directions:

Take 3 pipe stems and arrange them so they overlap in the middle.

Twist the centers of the pipe stems together.

Start adding on beads to the ends of your snowflake. (I liked the blue and white ones, but the kiddos wanted to do colorful ones.)

Once you have added your beads you can curl the ends and ta-da you have a snowflake!!

Or, you could do like my Hubby recommended and make it into an ornament! (Thanks Hubby!)

This is how we did that…

Once we had added all our beads we folded the sides up, to make a ball. Then we took an additional pipe stem and tied all the ends together. Then we hung them on the tree.

Christmas Lights

Supplies needed:

White Cardstock Paper

Paint

Black Sharpie

Directions:

Take a black sharpie and draw a swirly line on your paper. Then add in little squares along the swirly line to be the bulb bottom.

Next have your child dip their pointer finger in some paint and push it right above the black squares. You could have your child do a pattern or just randomly do it.

And that’s all there is to it!! Pretty easy!!

Snowman Felt Ornament

Supplies needed:

Rolled Felt Snowman Ornament Kit

Hot Glue Gun

Directions:

All you have to do is follow the directions that were included in the kit. Super Easy!!

What are your favorite Christmas arts/crafts???

Ugly Sweater Craft {Blogmas Day 9}

Hi Guys!

Today i’m sharing with you all a very fun Christmas craft, ugly sweaters!

ugly sweater craft

This is our second year of doing this craft, because we loved it so much the first year, we decided to do it again this year!

To make these you’ll need…

  • Ugly sweater template  from Fun Learning for kids.
  • Red cardstock
  • Various Christmas themed craft items – pom poms, glitter, jingle bells, etc.
  • Glue

These are super easy to make, once you have printed your ugly sweater template on your red cardstock, then all that’s left to do is cut it out and decorate it.

The kids thoroughly enjoy making this Christmas craft, and one of the best things is i bought most of the supplies at the dollar store so this was also a super affordable craft project.

DIY Coffee Cup

Hi Guys!

As you all probably know by now, especially if you follow me on social media, i love coffee.

Recently i discovered a new love of mine, DIY coffee cups. I started out by doing some with oil based sharpie markers, which turned out ok. But then i got a Cricut and oh my gosh how fun it is to create different designs on that thing. I’m now totally obsessed with using it to create DIY coffee cups.

Here’s a recent cup i did with my Cricut.

See what i mean? Isn’t that adorable?! It says “This Day is Powered by Coffee”.

Today i thought i would show you both ways (Sharpie and Cricut) to create fun DIY coffee cups. P.S. With the holidays coming up in a few short months, these would make great gifts for anyone (not just coffee drinkers)…

Method #1 – Made With Oil Based Sharpies

Supplies needed:

White Coffee Cup (you can get these for like $0.88 at Walmart)

Oil Based Sharpies

Step 1: Decorate cup with sharpie markers.

Step 2: Let it sit for a few hours. You could even leave it overnight

Step 3: Bake it in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. *Tip: put the cup in the oven before turning oven on and leave it in the oven until the oven cools completely, to avoid cracks.*

Step 4: Hand wash and enjoy!

Method #2 – Made With Cricut

Supplies needed:

White Coffee Cup (you can get these for like $0.88 at Walmart)

Cricut (I have this one)

Vinyl (for this project i used Midnight)

Cricut cutting mat

Cricut Vinyl Transfer Tape

Free SVG file

Step 1: Download the free SVG file, then open Cricut Design Space and upload the file to it.

Step 2: Once you have decided what size you want it, let your Cricut do all the cutting.

Step 3: Remove all the excess vinyl then transfer your design over to the transfer tape.

Step 4: Apply design to coffee cup with transfer tape. Then discard transfer tape.

Step 5: Enjoy!

We Love Earth Week 2018 {Day 4}

Hi Guys!

Here’s what we got going on for day 4 of our “We Love Earth Week” celebration…

we-love-earth-week

  • Today’s snack is cookies! Sugar cookies with food coloring, to make them look like the Earth.

  • Today’s arts/crafts project is making EARTH signs.
Here is how you make them:
First you start out with a piece of construction paper or cardstock (any color you want to use will do, i just happened to have blue paper on hand).
Using glue write out the letters EARTH.

img_7116

Then take whatever you have found around your yard (grass, flowers, dirt, sticks, etc.) and attach it to the glue.

And something like this should be your outcome…

That’s it for today’s celebration! Stop by again tomorrow for day 5!
