Blogmas 2020 {Day 23/ 5 Christmas Cookies}

Hi Guys!

Welcome back to another day of Blogmas!

Today i’m sharing my favorite Christmas cookies with you all.

These are the list of cookies i make every year for Christmas time!

5 Christmas Cookies:

  • Ritz Cookies – My Grandma used to make these at Christmas time, so making these cookies makes me feel like she is still a part of our Christmas, if that makes sense.
  • Christmas Cracker Candy – Not technically a ‘cookie’, but still equally delicious! I remember making this back in 7th grade for a home economics class, my teacher called it ‘Homemade Almond Roca’ and it was topped with chopped almonds. I’ve been making this for a few years now, my whole family loves it!
  • No Bake Cookies – Not really special or a Christmas cookie, but i never make them any other time, other than at Christmas. Sometimes i melt white chocolate and drizzle it over them, to make them more festive!
  • Mint Chip Sugar Cookies – Or simply known to my family as the “Grinch” cookies. These cookies are hard to resist, they are so yummy!

What’s your favorite Christmas cookie?

Blogmas 2020 {Day 22/ Christmas Decorations Tour}

Hi Guys!

Welcome back to another day of Blogmas!

Today i’m sharing all our Christmas decorations!

On the stairs we have all our stockings hung, for both humans and dogs. 🙂

This is also where we have set up all our animated Christmas stuffed animals. Every year we add at least one new one to our collection. It’s a fun tradition we started a few years back.

By the front door, we have some Christmas candles and other random decor items.

On the plant ledge, we have some Christmas trees and Rudolph.

In the dinning room we have this sign that i bought at Hobby Lobby.

That’s pretty much it for inside decor, besides a nativity and some small Christmas trees in the kid’s rooms.

We have lights on the outside of our house and a wreath hanging on the front door, but that’s all and not really worth showing.

Do you go all out with holiday decor? Or are you the less is more type of person?

Blogmas 2020 {Day 21/ Last Minute Gift Ideas}

Hi Guys!

Welcome back to another day of Blogmas!

With Christmas being only 4 days away, i thought today would be a good day to share some last minute gift ideas.

Last Minute Gift Ideas:

  • Subscription Boxes – TryTreats, FabFitFun, KiwiCo, BarkBox, Birchbox, etc. There are so many different kinds of subscription boxes, you are sure to find something for anyone on your list.
  • Movie Streaming Services – Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, etc.
  • Meal Kit Service – Blue Apron, Home Chef, etc.
  • Magazine Subscription
  • Flowers
  • Board Game
  • 2021 Planner
  • Music Streaming Gift Card – Spotify, Itunes, etc.
  • Coffee Mug
  • Gift Card

With this list, i wanted to share things that are easy to find (and/or instant) because i know a lot of those last minute gift idea lists are things you would have to order online and to me that defeats the whole purpose because then the gift won’t get there on time.

I hope this list helps you out, and be sure to stop by again tomorrow for another day of Blogmas!

Blogmas 2020 {Day 20/ Pregnant During The Holidays}

Hi Guys!

Welcome back to another day of Blogmas!

I can’t believe I’ve made it to Day 20 of Blogmas! Last time i tried to do Blogmas i only made it to like day 16 or 17, so this is a personal best of mine!

Today i’m talking about being pregnant during the holidays. More importantly, some tips to help get you through the holidays.

Being pregnant during the holidays can add another level difficulty to an already overwhelming season. Here are some tips to help you out….

  1. Rest as needed – You are growing another human, it’s ok to need to rest and to not be able to do everything all at once. Listen to your body and slow down when necessary.
  2. Stay hydrated – It’s really easy to forget to drink water during the colder months, but staying hydrated is so very important, even more so when you are pregnant. So keep chugging that water.
  3. Limit sugar – It’s ok to have a Christmas treat, here and there, but try not to overindulge. It’s not good for you or your baby. Plus sugar makes you more tired and sluggish, so avoid it as much as possible and you will feel so much better.
  4. Take some ‘Me Time’ – This kind of goes along with rest as needed and limit sugar, but it’s important to take care of yourself during this time. You are probably busy doing ALL THE THINGS (shopping, wrapping gifts, baking, cooking, etc.), so take some time for yourself to; exercise, take a bath, read a book, whatever calms you and makes you happy!

I hope you find these tips helpful, and i hope you are having a wonderful holiday season!

Be sure to come back again tomorrow for another fun post!
