I made it through Blogmas!! Yay! That was a huge accomplishment for me personally, as i’ve never done it before. I hope you all enjoyed Blogmas, just as much as i did!
Today is Christmas and i’m just going to spend the day enjoying time with my family and taking it slow! I’ll be back Monday with another new blog post.
So, from Our Family to yours, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
Back at the beginning of Blogmas {Day 2} i shared a Holiday Bucket List, so today i thought i would update on how many things our family did this holiday season on that bucket list.
Holiday Bucket List:
Send Christmas Cards
Christmas Movie Marathon
Build a Snowman
Wrap Presents
Go Sledding
Drink Hot Chocolate
Go see Christmas lights
Watch the Nutcracker
Eat a candy cane
Bake cookies
Write a letter to Santa
Read The Night Before Christmas
Do some Random Acts of Kindness
Deliver treats to a neighbor
Decorate the Tree
Donate a toy
Make a Christmas craft
Build a Gingerbread house
Visit Santa
Take Christmas pictures
Drink Eggnog
Read about the birth of Jesus
Wear an ugly sweater
Do an advent calendar
How many items did you cross off on your Holiday Bucket List?
Ritz Cookies – My Grandma used to make these at Christmas time, so making these cookies makes me feel like she is still a part of our Christmas, if that makes sense.
Christmas Cracker Candy – Not technically a ‘cookie’, but still equally delicious! I remember making this back in 7th grade for a home economics class, my teacher called it ‘Homemade Almond Roca’ and it was topped with chopped almonds. I’ve been making this for a few years now, my whole family loves it!
No Bake Cookies – Not really special or a Christmas cookie, but i never make them any other time, other than at Christmas. Sometimes i melt white chocolate and drizzle it over them, to make them more festive!
Mint Chip Sugar Cookies – Or simply known to my family as the “Grinch” cookies. These cookies are hard to resist, they are so yummy!
On the stairs we have all our stockings hung, for both humans and dogs. 🙂
This is also where we have set up all our animated Christmas stuffed animals. Every year we add at least one new one to our collection. It’s a fun tradition we started a few years back.
By the front door, we have some Christmas candles and other random decor items.
On the plant ledge, we have some Christmas trees and Rudolph.
In the dinning room we have this sign that i bought at Hobby Lobby.
That’s pretty much it for inside decor, besides a nativity and some small Christmas trees in the kid’s rooms.
We have lights on the outside of our house and a wreath hanging on the front door, but that’s all and not really worth showing.
Do you go all out with holiday decor? Or are you the less is more type of person?
With Christmas being only 4 days away, i thought today would be a good day to share some last minute gift ideas.
Last Minute Gift Ideas:
Subscription Boxes – TryTreats, FabFitFun, KiwiCo, BarkBox, Birchbox, etc. There are so many different kinds of subscription boxes, you are sure to find something for anyone on your list.
Movie Streaming Services – Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, etc.
Meal Kit Service – Blue Apron, Home Chef, etc.
Magazine Subscription
Flowers
Board Game
2021 Planner
Music Streaming Gift Card – Spotify, Itunes, etc.
Coffee Mug
Gift Card
With this list, i wanted to share things that are easy to find (and/or instant) because i know a lot of those last minute gift idea lists are things you would have to order online and to me that defeats the whole purpose because then the gift won’t get there on time.
I hope this list helps you out, and be sure to stop by again tomorrow for another day of Blogmas!
