Water & Cranberries – I’ve been adding a couple cranberries to my water lately and i’m loving it. It gives it just a slight sweet taste, which helps me drink more.

Perfectly Posh Lotion – This is the only lotion that doesn’t sting when i apply it to my dry cracked hands. Plus the smell of Posh Boss is amazing. (*No, I do not sell their products, just sharing what i like.*)

Olay Face Moisturizer – My skin has been so dry because of the winter weather, that i am so glad i found this product. I just started using it so i can’t give a full review yet, but the times i have used it, i sure to feel a difference.

Jesus Calling For Christmas – This book is very well written and the pictures are breathtakingly beautiful. I really liked how short each message was, because i was so busy last month that it was nice i could just get a minute or two here to read each message.

Graham Cracker “Gingerbread” Houses {Blogmas Day 15}

Hi Guys!

Today i’m sharing a fun take on gingerbread houses, Graham Cracker houses…

20181214_100943

This is an easy project, here’s what you will need…

  • Graham Crackers
  • Vanilla Frosting
  • Assorted candies & sprinkles

I place some frosting on the bottom of a paper plate. Then i start adding the graham crackers and frost each side of them as i add them to the house.

I don’t worry about it looking nice and neat, because you need the frosting all over the house for the candies and sprinkles to stick to it.

And that’s it, once you have assembled the house, have the kids decorate it however they want to.

Then enjoy eating the masterpieces!

Thanksgiving Traditions

I can tell you about a handful of Christmas traditions my family had growing up, however I can’t think of one Thanksgiving tradition we had other than eat the normal Thanksgiving traditional foods.

Immediately, once i started my own family, I knew I wanted to have some Thanksgiving traditions for my family. Although, we haven’t come up with much, I thought i would share our family’s Thanksgiving traditions.

thanksgiving traditions

  1. We make pies the night before Thanksgiving; Pumpkin, Lemon meringue, and Chocolate pies.
  2. On Thanksgiving, we eat a light breakfast, and snack throughout the day until the main feast which we serve around 4:00 in the afternoon.
  3. We play games, either board games/card games or video games, together as a family.
  4. We get outside, we usually take a walk to burn off all the food we have eaten.
  5. The day after Thanksgiving we put up our Christmas tree.

That’s it, those are our family’s Thanksgiving traditions. What are your family’s traditions?

Thanksgiving Turkey Tips {Free Printable}

Hi Guys!

Every year I call my Mom up with the same questions “when do I put the turkey in the fridge to defrost?”, “how long will the turkey stay good for in the fridge?”, “what if it’s not ready in time for Thanksgiving?”… and every year she answers those questions for me without ever saying “I told you last year, and the year before that, and the year before that..” she’s awesome like that!

However this year I decided to pick her brain on all things Turkey and finally write it all down, so that way I can pass the information down to my children some day, and their children, etc. etc., and pass the information on to you guys as well.

Walmart Grocery Pickup *Review*

Hi Guys!

I recently tried Walmart’s free grocery pickup service (i know, i’m totally late to the party) and i thought i would let you know my experience.

photo-1506617420156-8e4536971650

The first thing that really struck me was how easy it was to use. A few clicks and you have a “cart” full of groceries. I placed my order in the evening and the next morning i was able to pick it up. I never even had to get out of my car. I also love that it is a free service!

The prices were comparable to what they have in store. Which is different if you have used something like Albertson’s grocery delivery, whose prices are higher online than if you were to shop in their store.

I also really like that with using this service there is less of a chance that you will buy things you don’t need. So many times with shopping in store i add extra stuff in my cart that i really didn’t need, but because i was either hungry or had a child with me who wanted a certain product i end up buying more.

So to recap the pros – It’s easy, prices are the same in store & online, could potentially save money (not buying extra food or unhealthy food), and it’s also a free service!

A few things that i have noticed that i don’t like…

  • You can’t inspect things like eggs for example. In my order, one of my eggs were cracked.
  • Produce isn’t what i would pick out myself. I’m super picky with what apples to grab or bananas or avocados. In my order, some of my apples were bruised and my avocados were too green.
  • Sizes. I really didn’t pay much attention to sizes, so i ended up buying a little container of oats, when i thought it would be a regular size.
  • You can only pay with debit/credit cards. If you use like the cash envelop system, or if you just like paying cash for things, you can’t do that with this service.

Those are my thoughts/experiences with Walmart Grocery Pickup so far. I really like how fast and easy it is, so i will probably be using them again. I might just buy my produce at another store and pick it out myself.

Have you used Walmart Grocery Pickup yet? What was your experience like?

If you haven’t yet signed up for it, you can use my special link to get $10 off your first purchase.

Is a Costco Membership Really Worth It? {Costco Review}

I became a Costco member when i was pregnant with my 5th child, seemed like a good time to start buying in bulk now that we were becoming a family of 7.

I have now been a Costco member for 2 1/2 years, so it seems like a good time to tell you all what i really think of having a Costco membership.

Costco Review

Let’s just get down to the pros and cons of Costco…

Pros:

*Low prices – At my Costco, for example, i can get 2 gallons of Milk for $3.54, that’s only $1.77 per gallon.

*2% reward for Executive Members – I am an executive member, now i don’t shop often enough at Costco for this 2% reward to really add up, but it does give me a little something that i use towards my membership fee.

*Great products – I love love love their Kirkland brand baby wipes. I notice when i run out of these, and use other brands of wipes, my little guy ends up with horrible rashes. Kirkland products are seriously made with great quality.

*Buy online option – You can now buy non-perishable food and household items online and they will deliver it to you in 2 business days. If you spend $75 or more, there is no delivery fee. **side note: prices seem to be a little bit higher for this convenience.*

*Membership fees are minimal – I believe if you just wanted the basic membership it’s like $60 for the year. Not a bad price at all.

Cons:

*Store Hours – I am one of those people whom likes to shop early in the morning, like between 8-9. So it really kinda sucks that they don’t open, most days, until 10.

*Only a few locations – Where i live we only have 2 stores. Since we moved out to the country, i now have to drive at least 20 minutes to reach one of the stores. The other store would take me like 45 minutes to get to.

*Super busy– Because there isn’t a location on every corner, and because of their hours, the store is ALWAYS busy.

With all that said, for me, the pros totally outweigh the cons and it is definitely worth it for our family to have a membership.

I’m going to share some of our favorite products to buy at Costco and i’ll give you the prices i paid most recently for them, so you can see just how good the deals are.

My favorite Costco items:

Baby Wipes – $19.99 for 900 wipes – These wipes are the best.

Kirkland Paper Towels – $15.99 for 12 count.

Kirkland Toilet Paper – $16.99 for 30 rolls. I love this toilet paper. It’s the best quality. Not too fluffy, not too thin, just right!

Bounce Dryer Sheets – $9.99 for 320 count. This can last for me for about 6-7 months.

Dixie Paper Plates – $16.99 for 186 plates.

Kirkland Dish Pacs – $9.99 for 115 pacs. This usually lasts me like 3 months.

Kirkland Garbage Bags – $14.99 for 200 bags. This can last for us, about 6-7 months.

Muffins – $7.99 for two 6 packs.

Cheesecake – $13.99 for a 4.5 pound cheesecake. This is the best tasting cheesecake.

Dawn – $9.79 for 90 FL OZ.

Just keep in mind product availability and prices vary by location.

Those are my thoughts on having a Costco membership. Do you have a Costco membership? Has it been worth it for you? What’s your favorite things to buy there?
