Thanksgiving Turkey Tips {Free Printable}

Hi Guys!

Every year I call my Mom up with the same questions “when do I put the turkey in the fridge to defrost?”, “how long will the turkey stay good for in the fridge?”, “what if it’s not ready in time for Thanksgiving?”… and every year she answers those questions for me without ever saying “I told you last year, and the year before that, and the year before that..” she’s awesome like that!

However this year I decided to pick her brain on all things Turkey and finally write it all down, so that way I can pass the information down to my children some day, and their children, etc. etc., and pass the information on to you guys as well.

Traditional Thanksgiving {Menu, Shopping List, and Recipes} FREE

Hi Guys!

Only 10 more days until Thanksgiving, can you believe it?! Are you prepared yet?! I was able to get a little bit of my Thanksgiving grocery shopping done over the weekend, but I still have more to buy.

Pretty much every year I forget at least one thing at the store, and so I thought in order to help me with all my planning and shopping I would type it all up. And today i’m going to share what I have created with you all.

Traditional Thanksgiving 1

I’ve written up the menu, the shopping list, and the recipes. I’ve even divided the recipes into appetizers, main course, and desserts in an effort to make things even easier.

This year all my kids are actually going with a theme. This hasn’t happened since my oldest 2 were very little, and I was able to dress them up how I wanted.

Happy Easter 2018

he is risen

We are having a very relaxing Easter this year.

My daughter woke us up at 1 o’clock this morning, throwing up, so our Easter isn’t going exactly how we had planned, but that’s ok. We are taking it easy and just enjoying each other’s company.

Sadly, i didn’t get around to taking any pictures of the kids Easter baskets this morning or any pictures of them searching for eggs around the house… but i did get a few pictures this week of some of the Easter things we have done.

If you follow me on Instagram, earlier this week i shared that we “egged” a neighbors house…

We have also been working on Easter themed word searches, which is my 10 year old’s favorite thing to do…

We went to a local country supply store, to visit the baby chicks… Lincoln was the most obsessed with them and cried having to leave the store.

We went to a Panaderia (which means bakery in Spanish) for some Mexican Sweet Bread, which is a must for our Easter morning. My husband grew up always have bread and honey on Easter, so we are continuing on with this tradition with our own children.

My husband eats his bread with honey, as per his childhood tradition. However, all the children prefer to eat the bread without the honey.

This week, we also went to a egg hunt in our town. Lincoln enjoyed finding the eggs.

That’s what we have been up to this week.

How is your Easter going? How do you celebrate? Let me know in the comments!
