Goals For January 2019

Hi Guys!

Instead of doing a blog post about all my goals for the year, i thought i would share each month my goals for that month, because they can change.

There are some big goals like “get down to my goal weight this year”, which doesn’t change monthly, but most of my goals this year will change each month.

So without further ado, here are my goals for January 2019…

january 2019 goals

  1. Read 4 books – My major book reading goal this year is to read 50 books, so for January i want to read at least 4.
  2. Lose 10 pounds – Almost 2 years ago now, i lost a lot of weight, but unfortunately i gained all of it back and then some. So for January i hope to lose at least 10 pounds!
  3. Buy only 1 coffee from a coffee shop – I’ve gotten so used to every time i leave the house i buy myself a cup of coffee, i want to put a stop to that. So this month i have challenged myself to only buy myself 1 cup a coffee from a coffee shop this month.
  4. Go on at least 3 field trips – We have been slacking in the field trip department, so i really want to start making them a priority.
  5. Get at least 10,000 steps each day – This shouldn’t be too hard of a goal, as i usually get 10,000 – 12,000 steps every day, but i want to start being more intentional with my steps because next month my goal will be even higher.
  6. Drink at least 4 bottles of water each day – When the weather gets colder i find it harder to drink water, so i’m really pushing myself to drink lots of water each day.
  7. Workout 5 times a week – This can be hard for me, because if i’m getting 10,000+ steps every day i can convince myself that i have moved enough so working out isn’t necessary, when it really is.
  8. Put my phone down more and be present with my family – I wouldn’t say i am obsessed with my phone, but i can get lost in mindless scrolling versus being present with my family. This goal isn’t specifically for January, but for the whole year.

That’s it, those are my goals for this month. I’d love to hear your goals.

In no particular order, here are my favorites from January.

Create365 The Deluxe Classic Happy Planner Faith Edition – I love this planner so much! For starters it’s pretty! And i love how it has bible verses and quotes throughout it. It also has a monthly calendar page and then weekly pages. I’ve been using it to menu plan and also to keep track of extracurricular activities.

Bullet Journal – I first heard about bullet journaling through Pinterest. I had been wanting to start one for well over a year now, when i finally decided to buy myself one. I love it. It’s a fun way to keep everything organized and written out.

Huhuhero Pens – Because you can’t bullet journal without pretty pens! I also use them in my planner.

Paper Mate Flair Pens – These pens write so beautifully! They are sort of like a marker, yet they are a pen. I was instantly hooked on them. Some of them are missing from the photo above, because i use them everywhere throughout the house and didn’t feel like hunting them down for a photo. (Sorry)

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation (Siberia) – I’ve been using Covergirl foundation forever, but I’ve never really loved it. This (NARS) foundation i love so very much! I can’t believe i haven’t tried it sooner. It covers so beautifully. It’s well worth the money.

Washing my face with Coconut Oil –¬† I started washing my face with coconut oil and I’ve been really happy with the results. I have adult acne and the coconut oil has helped to keep it under control.

The Best Yes – This was by far my favorite book i read in January. I just love Lysa’s writing style. She makes me laugh, she makes me cry. I always finish her books wanting more.

That’s it! Those are my favorite things from January! What was your favorite thing (product, book, etc.) from January?

January 2018 Holidays {Free Printable}

Tomorrow is the start of not just a new year, but also a new month. I thought it would be fun to share some of the holidays that January has to offer.

Jan 2018 Holidays

During my research i found out, January has some pretty wacky holidays (measure your feet day, umm what?!), but it also has some pretty cool holidays as well (chocolate cake day, yes please!).

I went through all the crazy wacky holidays January has to offer and wrote up a list of what i think are the best, not so crazy, holidays that you and your family can enjoy this January.

I know my family and i are going to partake in a lot of these holidays that are on the list.
