What To Pack In Your Hospital Bag

Hi Guys!

Although i’m not planning on having a hospital birth with baby number 6, i have had 5 hospital births in the past, so i thought today i would share what i usually would pack in my hospital bag.

There are a lot of these “what to pack in hospital bag lists” out there, but i feel like most of them are a little bit much. So if you like things simple and basic, like me, then this list is for you.

*I will note that i have never had a c-section, so you might want to add other items to your bag if you are having a c-section.*

What to pack in your hospital bag

For Mom:

  • Cell phone charger
  • Nursing Bra
  • A comfortable going home outfit (pj’s, yoga pants, etc.)
  • Toothbrush & toothpaste
  • Hairbrush & hair ties
  • Chapstick

For Baby:

  • A going home outfit
  • Diapers (if your hospital doesn’t provide them, my hospital did provide them)

That’s it, that’s all you need!

38 Weeks Pregnant {Baby #6 Update}

Hi Guys!

Today i’m sharing another baby #6 update!

Today i’m 38 weeks and 1 day pregnant with baby #6. I just got back from my midwife appointment and everything looks good with baby & me.

I’ve gained a total of 25 pounds so far with this pregnancy. I’m measuring right at 38 weeks.

Baby is still in head down position. Baby’s heartbeat was strong and good.

At this point we are just waiting around for me to go into labor.

There’s not a ton to update on. I’m not really having any cravings or new symptoms.

I’m just really getting excited to have this baby. I can’t wait to meet him!

Today i’m sharing all the home birth supplies i have been gathering over the past several weeks.

Getting ready for this home birth has definitely been an experience. I can’t wait until baby is born, so i can share how my first ever home birth & natural birth went. As i’m sure it’s going to be an incredible experience.

37 Weeks Pregnant {Baby #6 Update}

Hi Guys!

Today i’m sharing an update on baby #6.

Last week my midwife came out to my house to get a feel of the space we will be birthing in and also to check that i’ve gathered all my home birth supplies.

While she was here, she did my regular checkup and everything is looking great with baby & me.

At my 34 week checkup i was measuring 2 weeks ahead (36 weeks), but at my 36 week checkup i was measuring right at 36 weeks.

As far as symptoms go, i’ve been having more and more contractions. I’ve also been having a lot of morning sickness, which i’ve never experienced 3rd trimester morning sickness before with any of my other pregnancies. It’s also been harder to fall asleep and stay asleep.

That’s about it for this update, not much else to share. I will now be doing weekly updates until baby is born, so be sure to check back next week to see how things are going.
