Tip Tuesday #6

Hi Guys!

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a Tip Tuesday, that i thought now would be a good time.

Tip Tuesday

Today’s tip is for those of you with more than 1 child, and this tip is all about how to get more 1 on 1 time with your children.

As a mom of 5, i’m not gonna lie, it’s hard to get alone 1 on 1 time with each of my kids. But it’s not impossible.

So i thought i’d share my ways on how i do that.

Way #1 :

When i do my weekly grocery shopping trips i usually just bring 1 kid with me, and i rotate it so each kid has a turn. This is great 1 on 1 time where we get to talk (uninterrupted), laugh, spend some time together, and maybe even get a special drink or treat together.

Way #2 :

Dates. Occasionally i will see a kid is really needing some time with me, so i will plan a special date with them, it could be during the day or at night. We might go out to a restaurant to eat, go see a movie, do some fun shopping, go to the park, or whatever interests that child.

Way #3:

Homeschooling. Homeschooling provides lots of time for me to get 1 on 1 time with each child, although not necessarily in a fun way as way #1 & #2 would be. Reading with my 6 year old, helping my 10 year old with a math problem, or doing a science experiment with my 13 year old are all examples of how i get a few minutes here and there of alone time with them.

So those are my ways/tips on how to get 1 on 1 time with your kids, when you have more than 1 kid. I hope you enjoyed them, and if you have some tips of your own, leave me a comment.

Tip Tuesday #4

Hi Guys!

I’m back today with another Tip Tuesday!

Tip Tuesday

Today’s tip is something so easy and simple, i’m sure lot’s of you probably already do this, but in case there is someone out there (like me) that doesn’t know about how genius this is, i will share….

Using a bottle scrubber to do dishes with, instead of a sponge!

scrubber vs sponge

Alright, a little backstory… My skin is sensitive.

So very sensitive. Doing dishes causes my hands to crack and bleed. It’s super painful.

One day i decided instead of getting my hands wet (which is what causes them to crack & bleed), i would use this bottle scrubber we had. It worked so well. The dishes got clean, and my hands were safe. *Sure i could have bought myself a pair of dish gloves, but i already had the bottle scrubber on hand and so i thought why not.*

So to recap today’s tip is.. use a bottle scrubber instead of a sponge to do your dishes. You get less contact with the water (which if your skin is sensitive this is helpful) and super clean dishes!

Tip Tuesday #1

Hi Guys!

I thought i would start this new weekly blog post where i share a new tip with you all on Tuesdays. The tips can be anything, from homeschooling, to fitness, to children, etc. So pretty much anything that i think would be a useful tip to share with you.

Tip Tuesday

For my first Tip Tuesday, i’m sharing with you my newest favorite addition to my medicine cabinet.

As you all know, cold & flu season is among us. And this year it is hitting HARD. You can’t turn on the news without hearing about another death thanks to the flu.

Now, although this product i’m going to share with you is AWESOME, i just have to state that it isn’t going to completely eliminate your chances of getting the flu. Just had to put that in there.

Anyways, without further ado… I’d like to introduce you to Airborne Immune Boosting Gummies

20180112_083329

You guys, these things are so incredible. I have to give you my story on why i love them so much.

Back around the middle of December, some of my children started to not feel so great. I had been out Christmas shopping, when i decided to run into Walgreen’s for a few cold/flu items we were low on.

While looking around for some extra vitamins for my kids, i stumbled upon these bad boys. I decided to buy them for my husband & I (they are for ages 14 & up), so we wouldn’t catch whatever bug the kids had.

My husband & I started taking them, and you guys we never got the really bad head cold my children had.

Then shortly after New Year’s my kids got sick again. This one was worse; throwing up, diarrhea, coughing, sneezing, high fever. It was bad.

I was carrying my 1 year old down the stairs, hands full with him & a cup of coffee. He sneezed in my face. Literally sprayed yucky spit snot all over me, and guess what? I still didn’t catch that illness!

And i’d like to thank that all to these amazing immune boosting gummies.

I really wish they made these for children. If you know of anything similar for children, let me know in the comments.   I found some for kids!! Hallelujah!!

airborne kids

Sadly i won’t be able to use these for the 1 year old & 3 year old, but my 3 other kids are totally going to start taking these! Yay!!

So, to summarize for my Tip Tuesday #1, if you want to avoid catching all the crud that is going around during this time of the year, take these immune boosting gummies and you’ll be amazed at how good you’ll feel.
