Happy Holidays

Hi Guys!

I kinda fell off the Blogmas wagon, but for my first time ever doing Blogmas i made it 17 days, so i’m pretty proud of myself for that. Especially since i didn’t plan to do Blogmas at all, i only decided to do it on the actual first day of Blogmas!

Hopefully i will do it again next year, and be able to make it all the way through.

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas. We were really hoping to have a white Christmas, but that didn’t happen. However, a few days after Christmas we got a good dusting of snow, so the kids were happy with that.

Right now we are really looking forward to the new year, i’m already starting to work on a list of goals for 2019. I’d love to hear what some of your goals are for the new year.

That’s all i really wanted to say, i hope you all are doing well.

Oh and If you are a blogger yourself, be sure to stop by again tomorrow, as i will have my 2019 blog planner up on my blog for free!

Until then, take care!

House/Life Updates

Hi Guys!

It’s been awhile since i’ve updated on how things are going with the new house, animals, etc. So today i thought would be a good day to share all that.

My parents visited last month and while they were here they built us an amazing chicken coop!

My girls are so spoiled!

*This photo was taken before the chicken coop got painted red.*

Speaking of the chickens, they are all still doing really well. Hazel, our crooked beak chicken, is struggling to gain weight. However, we think we have found a better way for her to eat and she seems to be doing well.

House News, Homeschooling, and more… {Real Life Update}

Hi Guys!

So, last week in my house hunting post, i talked about how i wanted to do a real life update about once a week to keep you all updated on the many different things going on in our life. Well, today is the day. I have some new news about the house and just some other things i thought i would share.

real life update 1

I’ll start with house news first because that’s what i am most excited about. Things are going great right now. Last time i updated you all, we had the inspection done and that was great.

This week we got the appraisal done, which is a major thing for the bank to continue on with the underwriting process. Like we were at a standstill until the appraisal was completed. So yay, appraisal was done and it was great as well!

The house we are buying has it’s own septic system and private well, both of which are getting tested for quality, etc. Today we heard back about the septic system, and everything is good with it.

So that whole process is continuing on and doing well.

Homeschooling is going well, we have finished up several subjects as we are nearing the end of our school year, only 5 more weeks to go!

The school room is actually all packed up for our impending move, so we have been doing our school work at the dinning room table. And sometimes the boys like to work in their room, where it is a little less noisy.

I’m going to start planning for next school year very soon. I’m excited to make some changes and try out different curriculum.

I’m in the middle of reading Wild and Free, and although i never do this, i felt compelled to grab out my highlighter and highlight different passages that spoke to me. I’m on page 95 as of right now and it’s a pretty great book so far!

I shared on Easter that Karina was sick, well the sickness has slowly been trickling through the family. It started with Lincoln, then went to Samuel, up next Karina got it, now Dasean is dealing with it. I’m hoping it will spare Cruz, my husband and myself. *fingers crossed*

That’s it! That’s my real life (in mostly real time) update! Let me know what’s been going on in your life lately. I’d love to hear from you!

Quick Catch Up

Hi Guys!

I haven’t really done a personal blog post in awhile. You know the ones where i share lots of personal information on what’s been going on with my family and me. So i figured today would be a good day to do one of those posts.

This post is totally random, not planned out at all. I just sat down at my computer and decided to start typing, so we’ll see what i come up with…

You guys, life has been a roller coaster ride lately.

Some things i can’t share with you guys at all (sorry), and some other things i can’t share with you yet, both of which are driving me crazy.

The things that i can’t share with you all at, are things that are happening to another person in my life, but in a way they are affecting my life completely. It’s affecting; my workouts, the way i eat, the amount of sleep i get, my mood, and even my blog.

I hope one day soon that situation will be resolved, until then i just have to survive the crazy ride.

In other news though, I’ve made it all the way through February without any coffee… I repeat, no coffee!!! I’m so proud of myself for this.  I started drinking coffee when i was 12, and it became a major addiction for me in my early twenties. Now, at the age of 32, i feel free from this addiction. I no longer crave it at all.

Lincoln (my 1 year old) has really become attached to me lately.. I thought it was maybe just a cold or teething, but it’s been like 2 weeks now and he won’t let me put him down, he always wants me to hold him or sit with him…

I joke about him being obsessed with me, but honestly i don’t mind it. I know these days will be gone soon.

Cruz (my 3 year old) is still in the process of being potty trained.. He has been the most stubborn child I’ve had to potty train yet.. I plan on doing a whole blog post about potty training soon, with what has worked and what hasn’t worked.

Karina (my 6 year old) is no longer going to ballet. She started Ballet when she was 5, and she really loved doing it. This year though has been a struggle. She wasn’t enjoying it at all. So after giving it 5 and 1/2 months, we gave up. We plan on getting her signed up for soccer this spring.

Dasean (my 10 year old) just had his birthday last week. He most likely will also be doing soccer this spring. He really wants to go to Lego Land someday. In fact every once in awhile he asks me “Mommy, have you and Daddy talked about Lego Land yet?”. Because i told him that my husband and i needed to discus it and we would get back to him with an answer. Hopefully someday we will make it there.

Samuel (my 12 year old) is always taking something apart. Mostly Nerf guns, which he loves to modify and spray paint. He sure knows his way around a tool box. He currently has no desire to play any sports, which is kinda funny cause last year he said he wanted to become a professional soccer player… Kids sure can change their minds fast!

My husband has been truly blessed to be busy with work. The jobs keep pouring in, which we couldn’t be more thankful for. He also gave up coffee with me this month, he made it 19 days without any coffee. Which i am proud of him for that, and thankful to have a best friend who is willing to support me in such a way.

That about sums what’s going on in our life right now, well except for the stuff i can’t share… Thanks for listening to my ramblings! Hope you are having a great week!
